Micron-scale fiber silicon carbide material is formed by mixing nano-scale silicon carbide powder and carbon-containing materials, then shaping them through casting, vacuum extrusion, or isostatic pressing. After drying the preform, it is placed in a vacuum furnace and sintered at a high temperature of over 1700 degrees Celsius and under high-concentration metallic silicon conditions to react and form a new silicon carbide product. The sintered product has the following characteristics:
1. High temperature resistance, usable at temperatures below 1380℃ for extended periods.
2. High mechanical strength, hardness, and flexural strength; 250 MPa at room temperature (20℃) and 285 MPa at high temperature (1200℃).
3. Good thermal stability, capable of withstanding rapid cooling and heating cycles as short as 3 hours.
High thermal conductivity and high heat transfer efficiency; heat transfer is more than twice as fast as ordinary materials under the same heat conditions.
